www.photographybyclare.co.uk

Today is a BIG day for me – after a lot of sleepless nights, thumping my fists against my desk and muttering expletives to myself – I have finally finished and launched my own website!

Please take a look at www.photographybyclare.co.uk Here you can also see my new branding – done once again by the fabulous Lou Andrews. The decision re-brand allowed me to incorporate my wedding, engagements, portraits & food photography all under one label.

I’ll be adding new features to the website in the coming weeks – including: separate galleries, a blog page, packages and hopefully a client viewing area too.

In the mean time, view and enjoy!

Wedding photography: Mary & Rick in Lincoln

Phew! What a weekend!

This weekend I got to shoot Mary & Rick’s wedding in Lincoln. For those of you who didn’t happen to catch the weather report for Lincolnshire on Friday – rain, rain and more rain. From the word go, the heavens opened unrelentlessy all day until the sun had long gone. Despite the rain, the day went without a hitch and we got some great photos, I made sure we had some fun using the bath that just happened to be in the bedroom of the suite that all the girls were getting ready in!

Thank you to Mary & Rick for asking me to photograph their wedding. I’d also like to say a massive thanks to Craig Coe, for carrying my bags & supporting me all day.

A very special delivery.

Today at 18.10, I became the very proud owner of my very own beautiful business cards. From the moment I held the small business cards in the palm of my hand, I fell in love. The beautiful colours and ¬†brilliantly designed logo – I was in heaven. So I got creative and had a little photo shoot with them this evening – I love them so flippin’ much I couldn’t decide what photos to include and what no to – so here’s a load for you to feast on…….

I would like to take this opportunity to say a massive, huge, gigantic, thank you to my fantastic friend and designer, Lou Andrews. Who has made these beautiful cards possible. Thank you Lou ūüôā

Canvas has arrived!

Just a quick update: The canvas for Kiren¬†& Aj arrived today, very pleased with it. I had it printed with Point 101, first time I’ve ever used them – really great service, I’ll definitely be using them again. But from receiving¬†this canvas I think it’s worth going for the upgraded¬†‘laminated’ canvas – I will next time! Wedding photography Canvas

Engagement Photos – Wollaton Hall, Nottingham with Kiren & AJ.

Engagement and Wedding PhotographyThis weekend I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Kiren & AJ for a canvas they wanted to display at their wedding in August. We decided to take the photos at Wollaton Park in Nottingham and make the most of the great weather we’d been having. However five minutes before I went to leave for Wollaton the rain came! Thankfully it was a passing shower and we had a decent amount of blue sky and sun for the rest of the day. Both Kiren & AJ were brilliant in front of the camera – which made my job even more enjoyable! I got some really great photos of them both, they chose the tree shot for their canvas, which after their wedding will be hung in their house.

Congrats Kiren & AJ and all the best for the wedding!
Here’s a few of my favourites from the day…..

Wedding Photography: Michelle & Matthew, Caerphilly. 2nd April

Michelle and Matthew’s wedding in Caerphilly, Wales was well worth the trip down from Nottingham. As I looked out the window on the morning of the wedding I was greeted by rain and grey clouds – the¬†Welsh weather had prevailed! As 10 o’clock came and the preperations were well underway, the sun broke through and¬†we spent the rest of the day in glorious sunshine. As a photographer – I’m not sure which is worse: blinding sun or rain clouds! At least it was dry enough for the bride and groom to get a quick round of golf in………

Wedding Photography: Claire & Ash’s Wedding – Lincolnshire

Ok, so the post a week thing kind of took a back seat for a few weeks. But I’m here to make up for it! Two weeks ago I had the pleasure of working as a second shooter for Chris Beaumont, shooting the wedding of Claire & Ash in Lincolnshire. I was responsible for shooting all the groom’s preparation photos and general shots of the wedding day. I’d never shot the groom getting ready – and boy do those guys get ready quickly, 5 mins and they’re done! Nevertheless I got some great shots and really had a good time. Here’s a couple of my favourites from the day…..
