Just so you all know I haven’t stopped taking photos – oh no! I’ve simply moved my blog along to my new website.

So hop over to: www.photographybyclare.co.uk to see my new blog and new work. I would absolutely love to hear your comments & thoughts on my new work.

That’s all folks!

April 12, 2012

Today is a BIG day for me – after a lot of sleepless nights, thumping my fists against my desk and muttering expletives to myself – I have finally finished and launched my own website!

Please take a look at www.photographybyclare.co.uk Here you can also see my new branding – done once again by the fabulous Lou Andrews. The decision re-brand allowed me to incorporate my wedding, engagements, portraits & food photography all under one label.

I’ll be adding new features to the website in the coming weeks – including: separate galleries, a blog page, packages and hopefully a client viewing area too.

In the mean time, view and enjoy!

Freshly Pressed!!

One of the reasons I’ve been so quiet recently on this blog is the start of a second blog: 366 days of photos.
If you haven’t seen it already, please, please take a look here as it’s just been featured on FRESHLY PRESSED!! (The first post, with a the flower)

Not that I’m excited at all…enjoy!

Food Photography: The Larder on Goosegate.

After photographing The Larder on Goosegate recently, they asked me back to photograph some dishes to add to their new upcoming website. They prepared some beautiful dishes – making it very hard to photograph and not eat! Their new website should be up and running in a few weeks time, so for now here’s a quick peek at a few of the photos from the day…

Restaurant Photography: The Larder on Goosegate, Nottingham

Last week I had great fun photographing a restaurant in Nottingham – ‘The Larder on Goosegate’. The restaurant is a gorgeous Grade II listed Victorian building that was once home to the small herbalist’s shop that became pharmaceutical giant Boots. The restaurant is filled with brilliant textures, colours and oozed character making it an absolute delight to photograph. I wanted to capture the buildings period features along with its effortless quirkiness and elegance – this meant climbing on ladders to get up high enough to incorporate the fantastic lighting fixtures too! I hope to be revisiting the restaurant very soon for a hearty meal but in the meantime, here is a small selection of the photographs taken by myself on the day, these and more will be displayed very soon on their website…watch this space!

Wedding photography: Mary & Rick in Lincoln

Phew! What a weekend!

This weekend I got to shoot Mary & Rick’s wedding in Lincoln. For those of you who didn’t happen to catch the weather report for Lincolnshire on Friday – rain, rain and more rain. From the word go, the heavens opened unrelentlessy all day until the sun had long gone. Despite the rain, the day went without a hitch and we got some great photos, I made sure we had some fun using the bath that just happened to be in the bedroom of the suite that all the girls were getting ready in!

Thank you to Mary & Rick for asking me to photograph their wedding. I’d also like to say a massive thanks to Craig Coe, for carrying my bags & supporting me all day.

Wedding Photography: Lloyd & Faye

This weekend I had the pleasure of  being the wedding photography assistant for a wedding in Stamford. The reception and evening party were held at the beautiful, rustic Haycock Hotel in nearby Wansford.

A favourite of mine from the day is this lucky shot I managed to snap of a young girl flying through the air.
